Not all scanners are created equal – and there is no “one size fits all”. We don’t sell or benefit from scanner sales, but we do offer advice based on our extensive experience with most commonly used scanners on the market.

Although Medit is relatively new to the intraoral scanning market they have hit the ground running. The progress they have made in a few short years is amazing! Medit is working hard to create new possibilities for scanning and is gaining popularity among consumers, and it is not a wonder considering the advantages listed below!

Dentsply Sirona

One of the first companies to digital dentistry, Sirona has used its vast experience to create a quality product. Fast, flexible, and easy to use, the Primescan comes with no ongoing fees while the Primescan 2 does require a reasonable monthly subscription to DS Core.

Negatives: Paid subscription to DS core required on the Primescan 2. Primescan 2 does not have a monochrome view. This is discouraging as the margins tend to be much easier to verify in monochrome.
